• Moon:

We can see the moon shining brightly. The moon is naturel satellite of the earth and revolves around the planet own orbit.

Moon complete one revolution 27 days , 7 hour and 43 minutes.

The moon appears in different shapes to us from the surface of the earth. There are called phases of the moon . Only part of the moon facing us that revives sunlight is visible to us.

• Full moon.

When the whole surface of the moon facing us visible. It looks like a full dish. This is called full moon or Poornima.

• New moon.

When no part of the moon facing us received sunlight . It is not visible in the night sky . This is called new moon.

• Star:

Star are celestial bodies that can produce their own heat and light.
They are made up of very hot gases. Star look tiny to us form the earth because they

are very far away from earth.

• Pole star:

The north star is the brightest star in the sky and it remain constant above the north pole (NORTH STAR).

• Constellations:

We will find cluster of stars that often From patterns called constellation.

For example - bear.

• Planets:

Some celestial bodies do not have their own heat light . They are lit by the light of the star such bodies are called planets.

• Earth:

The earth is the third nearest planet to the sun in the size fifth largest planet.

Earth appears blue planet because it's 2-3 surface is covered by water.

• Asteroids: 

Tiny bodies  which also move around the sun these bodies are called asteroids.

• Meteoraids:

Small pieces of rocks which move around the sun are called Meteoroids.

• Akash ganga:

In ancient India it was imagined to be a river of light flowing in the sky . So it is called Akash ganga.

• Galaxy:

Galaxy is  a huge system of billions of star and clouds of dust and gases . There are millions of such galaxies that make the universe.
